Jupyter Notebook
  • The Jupyter Notebook is an open-source web application that allows you to create and share documents that contain live code, equations, visualizations and narrative text. Uses include: data cleaning and transformation, numerical simulation, statistical modeling, data visualization, machine learning, and much more.
  • Any McMaster faculty, staff or student can log on to an instance of Jupyter Notebook provided by Compute Canada and the Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences with their MacID and password. Please login here.
LimeSurvey (Online Survey Software)
  • Research and High-Performance Computing Support (RHPCS) hosts and manages a central Limesurvey instance. Please login here.
  • For McMaster researchers that are going through the ethics review process for their surveys or have received clearance from MREB, this Limesurvey instance will provide them with survey templates that are research ethics compliant
  • To register for an account and use the ethics compliant templates in this Limesurvey instance please contact the Ethics Office.

McMaster Web Conferencing – WebEx
  • WebEx is a web conferencing system that allows real-time communication using audio, video and text chat over the internet. It is a powerful tool that facilitates online meetings, online classes, student group work and other collaborative ideas.
  • McMaster hosts and maintains a WebEx installation. Faculty and staff can request accounts to use the system, free of charge. To request an account, please visit McMaster’s Webex Support page.
