Description:

This opportunity supports participatory research that explores the biopsychosocial impacts of pelvic health issues (optimal functioning and management of the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs) for women Veterans across the life span. Specific research objectives include:

  • Assessing the biopsychosocial impacts and associated burden of pelvic health issues for women Veterans across the domains of well-being and life course
  • Investigating the risk factors, including factors associated with military service, that impact women Veterans’ pelvic health during their post-service transition
  • Identifying protective factors and interventions that may reduce the biopsychosocial impact and burden of pelvic health issues for women Veterans
