Description:

We have been notified by Mitacs that the Globalink Research Award (GRA) program has reopened fully in Ontario starting November 3, 2022.

The GRA program provides opportunities for Canadian senior undergraduate and graduate students (Master’s or PhD), and Postdoctoral Fellows to gain international research experience through a collaborative research experience with universities located in Mitacs partner and eligible countries, and for international senior undergraduate, Master’s or PhD students and Postdoctoral Fellows to gain research experience with eligible Canadian universities.

New proposals submitted to Mitacs will be reviewed and approvals will be determined per Mitacs’ standard course of business. Within 12 weeks of submission Mitacs will contact participants about the outcome of the application, with funding start dates expected beginning from April 1, 2023. All award approvals are subject to funding availability. Therefore, 2023 travel should be planned for late spring, early summer or later and must take place within a year from the funding decision date.
