December 19, 2025Description:
The purpose of this call for proposals is to advance applied research that meaningfully improves the lives of older Veterans and their families. Projects funded under this initiative should generate actionable evidence, innovative solutions, or practical tools that enhance care, promote well-being, and inform policy or practice. Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate strong partnerships with older Veterans, families, service providers, and other stakeholders, and that clearly articulate how findings will be translated into real-world impact.
Eligibility:
Proposals must be led by at least one Principal Investigator who is an academic researcher affiliated with a Canadian CIMVHR University or College Member. Proposals from international affiliates can only be considered if done in collaboration with a Canadian CIMVHR University/College Member. Consideration will be given to proposals that identify additional collaborators, including other academic and health research institutions, as well as government representation.
