Description:

The Faculty of Health Sciences is pleased to request applications for funding to replace aging equipment (ex. hoods, centrifuges, freezers) and to upgrade lab facilities with new equipment. The goal of this funding is to support the acquisition of equipment that would be difficult to fund through conventional grants and may not meet the mandate for a CFI JELF. Requests to this funding opportunity are expected to be in the order of $10,000 to $30,000; although requests outside the range will also be considered accompanied by a strong justification.

Eligibility:

Equipment funding requests will be adjudicated by the Faculty of Health Sciences Research Infrastructure committee. Meritorious requests that are unfunded due to lack of available funds will be invited to resubmit their applications.

Application/Nomination Process:

Requests must be prepared using the FHS Request for Infrastructure form and submitted to Rebecca Leone, Administrative Assistant, Health Research Services (HRS) (rleone@mcmaster.ca) by Friday December 9, 2022.
