Description:

This opportunity funds studies focused on investigating the biological mechanism leading to, and protecting from, fibrosis in IBD. Key research areas include: pathophysiology of fibrosis and patient segmentation/endotyping based on multi-omics analysis; datasets and biosamples derived from demographically and ethnically diverse cohorts; the evaluation of therapeutic potential of modulating specific fibrotic pathways; cell biological mechanisms of fibrosis; the role of microbiome, and multidisciplinary approaches. PI teams must include a senior PI and a junior co-PI.
