Description:

The main goals of this funding opportunity are to:

• Conduct research on lung health, considering biological, social, environmental, and behavioral factors via intersectional analyses.
• Improve the reliability and rigor of research outcomes by coordinating data collection and sharing to understand, prevent, detect, and manage lung health.
• Implement evidence-based practices and policies to promote equitable health outcomes and disseminate research findings.
• Enhance lung health research capacity through interdisciplinary and experiential-based approaches
• Prioritize equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in research studies and teams
• Focus on strengthening respiratory health for all Canadians, with special attention to historically excluded groups and Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis).
