Description:

This opportunity supports a Canada-wide study on controlled substances that will generate baseline estimates for substance use research and publicly share the population estimates and trends of the use of controlled substances and signal emerging threats. One source of data that is emerging as playing a key role is detecting local use of controlled substances in wastewater and incorporating this approach will be a requirement of this funding opportunity.

To leverage the extensive infrastructure and expertise of CRISM, the Nominated Principal Applicant to this funding opportunity must be a member of the CRISM network.
