Description:

The CIHR REDI Award Program is intended to foster the development of independent research scientists who can establish and sustain strong, independent research programs in academia. This program has two phases:

Phase I (mentored) includes: research allowance, stipend, mentorship, and career development
Phase II (independent research) includes: research allowance, salary support, faculty mentorship and 1:1 matching funds from the host institution
