MIRA is partnering with AGE-WELL to co-fund selected McMaster trainees who apply to AGE-WELL’s 2023 trainee funding program, which funds trainees working to create, implement and evaluate technologies and services that benefit older adults and caregivers, and EPIC-AT Fellowships, which will support trainees exploring digital health solutions for older adults with complex health needs, and provide experience in transdisciplinary working, stakeholder engagement and co-creation, the research-policy dynamic and the innovation and implementation process. These one year awards will commence on September 1, 2023, and end on August 31, 2024.
Application/Nomination Process:
To apply, candidates must submit applications through the AGE-WELL portal which will be administered and adjudicated by AGE-WELL.
All applicants will be considered for AGE-WELL awards; McMaster applicants may indicate their wish to be considered for enhanced funding through the AGE-WELL/MIRA co-funded awards by ticking the appropriate box in the AGE-WELL application portal. MIRA will consider co-funding trainees whose applications are aligned with its mandate; special consideration may be given to those that address mobility in aging.
