Dr. Sukhvinder Obhi, Associate Vice-President, Research (Society & Impact), invites you to a Society & Impact Luncheon focused on the cycling gender gap.
Bicycling is the fastest growing transport mode in Canadian cities, but there’s a stark gender-gap: approximately one third of city cyclists are women and two thirds are men. This talk will explore why the gender-gap exists and how we can narrow it. Bridging academia and practice, our two panelists work together on closing the gender-gap in cycling: one as a professor at McMaster University and the other as a transportation planner for the City of Hamilton.
