McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC)

Professor Ali Emadi’s research group at the McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC) is one of the world’s leading academic research programs in transportation electrification and smart mobility focused on pioneering sustainable energy-efficient solutions from advanced electric motors, power electronics, energy management systems, and controls to electrified powertrains, electric vehicles, and autonomous systems.

McMaster Manufacturing Research Institute (MMRI)

Stephen Veldhuis, Professor, Director MMRI and Braley-Orlick Chair in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, presents a new 21,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing research facility at the McMaster Innovation Park. It is conveniently situated by Highway 403 and strategically placed among McMaster’s key innovators to ensure that Canada’s innovations are made here and supplied globally.

Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy (CCEM)

Explore the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy (CCEM), located on McMaster University’s campus. CCEM opened its doors in 2004. Since 2014, CCEM is funded by the Major Science Initiatives (MSI) program as one of 17 national research facilities in Canada. CCEM houses best-in-class electron and ion microscopes; a team of 13 full-time professional expert staff operate the facility, perform microscopy services, and train users. CCEM has a diverse, national user base of more than 500 users annually. The research published by CCEM users has steadily grown to more than 140 peer-reviewed journal articles annually. CCEM serves users from academia and industry, from all over Canada and internationally. The research projects range from biology to chemistry, geology, and engineering.
