New Horizon Europe resource to support McMaster research community
Are you a McMaster researcher thinking of applying for Horizon Europe funding?
The Research Office for Administration, Development and Support (ROADS) has launched a new Horizon Europe SharePoint site, available to members of the McMaster research community – including all faculty, staff and students.
This online information hub is designed to aid researchers in the application process for Horizon Europe Pillar II: Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness.
Horizon Europe is the world’s largest research and innovation collaboration program.
Recently, the Government of Canada completed substantive negotiations with the European Commission to join Horizon Europe as an associate country under Pillar II. Canadian academics, industrial researchers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), non-profit entities, government agencies are all eligible to apply for Horizon Europe funding opportunities.
Developed with input from Faculty leaders and administrators, McMaster’s Horizon Europe SharePoint site contains several resources to support those applying for the program, including:
- An introduction to Horizon Europe, including an overview on eligibility and how the program is organized (Pillars, Clusters, Destinations, etc.)
- Information about recently launched and upcoming calls for proposals and partnerships
- Recommendations, tips and other resources to help you prepare your application
McMaster is committed to advancing research collaborations with key international partners, the EU being top among them, says Andy Knights, acting vice-president, research.
“Advancing McMaster’s participation in national and international grant competitions is an important institutional priority. Our teams at ROADS and the Office of the Vice-President, Research are here to ensure researchers have the support they need to meaningfully participate in research partnerships that affect positive change on a local and global scale,” he says.
Members of the McMaster research community can access the Horizon Europe SharePoint site by logging in with their MacID and password.
